But be aware: really good ones come with a high price tag with probably at least 250€. I was able to test Bose QuietComfort QC-15. They do seem to be very good at canceling noise but I didn't like the slight pressure in my ears. Most people do not seem to care about that. Furthermore, some models do require the mandatory built-in battery also when you do not use the ANC feature. For getting a similar result I can recommend [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ear_protection][cheap ear protection equipment]]. I do have a 3M Peltor Optime III 3-layer ear caps for about 20€. I used this protection when I needed to concentrate while working in a room with other people doing phone calls or similar. When traveling, I prefer foldable ear protectors from Howard Leight (around 20€) together with optional normal in-ear headphones (meanwhile Bluetooth-driven) which you most probably do have already. This combination needs no extra batteries, is cheaper, more flexible and offers better results than most ANC headphones in my opinion. This way, you can get the same result as really good ANC headphones but for a fraction of the cost. In case I do need to get rid of noise while sleeping, I prefer very cheap in-ear-plugs. I can not stand anything on my ears while sleeping.
