They talk about science, religion and pseudo-science. Carl is worried
that with less people who are able to understand basics about science
and more people who listen to populists and propaganda that science is
just one "opinion" among many, the human kind has got a huge problem.

By keeping people stupid, populists are able to cancel out the
positive effect of scientific insight in order to manipulate the
people for various reasons.

This foresight is impressive. These days, we do have to face the
consequences of more and more people denying pure logic and proven
scientific results.

Further more, they talk about the Loch Ness monster, UFOs and Aliens.
