**** DONE Memacs: Major Update of the Filenametimestamp Module :blog:pim:emacs:diy:software: CLOSED: [2019-10-09 Wed 15:45] :PROPERTIES: :CREATED: [2019-10-09 Wed 15:34] :ID: 2019-10-09-filenametimestamp-update :END: :LOGBOOK: - State "DONE" from "NEXT" [2019-10-09 Wed 15:45] :END: In the recent days, I was investing quite some work in a rewrite of [[https://github.com/novoid/Memacs/blob/master/docs/memacs_filenametimestamps.org][the filenametimestamp module]] of [[https://github.com/novoid/Memacs/][Memacs]] for referencing files within Org mode independent of their storage path. If you are already using this module, you should think of upgrading now because I fixed quite some bugs. Further more, it provides new functionality which could only be found in [[https://github.com/novoid/Memacs/blob/master/tmp/filenametimestamps/memacs-filenametimestamps.py][the corresponding stand-alone PoC module]]. I won't go into details here, since I also updated [[https://github.com/novoid/Memacs/blob/master/docs/memacs_filenametimestamps.org][the module documentation]]. For developers, I also created [[https://github.com/novoid/Memacs/blob/master/memacs/tests/filenametimestamps_test.py][a decent set of unit tests]]. The most current version of Memacs is available via =pip install memacs= but [[https://github.com/novoid/Memacs/issues/80][it may need some help]] from experienced users of pip.
