Yesterday, we've been at the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burns_supper][Burns Supper]] 2018 organized by [[https://www.islaywhiskychapter.at/][The Islay
Whisky Chapter Austria]]. It took place at the lovely
[[http://schlossberggraz.at/][Schlossbergrestaurant]] up above the beautiful city of Graz.

It has been my third Burns Supper with [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haggis][great food]] and excellent
selection of fine whiskies. This time, we had two friends who joined
us to the evening event. We had a really great time.

During the five courses, we had some great whiskies. Later on, the
"Noagerl Buffet" (leftover buffet?) opened, where we could taste from
a wide variety of bottles.

My set of whiskies of the evening was:

- Tomintoul 15yrs
  - no light entry whisky
- Glenmorangie 10yrs
  - great whisky to start with
- Laphroaig Lore - The richest of the rich
  - my favorite of the evening
- Bowmore 15yrs
  - good stuff
- Ardbeg An Oa
  - relatively mild for an Ardbeg
- Connemara
  - peaty, I like
- Tomintoul 16yrs
  - mild whisky to start with
- Spey fumare
  - peaty, great

We sang the traditional [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auld_lang_syne][Auld Lang Syne]] and listened to some cool bagpipe music.
