Eliminating the Human

Show Sidebar

David Byrne, yes the David Byrne, wrote an amazing blog article. He has a theory that "much recent tech development and innovation" was "about facilitating the need for LESS human interaction".

He, as some tech-loving guy who enjoys being alone for a while, is worried.

It is not only an opinion. He also cites studies that show that human interaction is coupled with well-being. And less human interaction with less well-being.

Even social media is the opposite of its name: "a lot of social media is a simulation of real social connection".

Please do read the article.
