It was originally developed for iOS devices. In German speaking countries, the same browser [[https://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Privat-surfen-Mozilla-veroeffentlicht-Firefox-Klar-fuer-Android-3747249.html][is called «Firefox Klar»]]. Focus has built-in ad-blocker, filters miscellaneous web analysis techniques and social media tracking ,e.g., via like-buttons. It's very minimal. It does not even feature bookmarks or multiple tabs yet. Deleting the browsing history is very prominent in the user interface. On the plus side, filtering out many things and not offering bloatware features does make it a really fast mobile browser which defends your privacy and prevents many cases of surveillance. Of course, you can and should install privacy-add-ons like [[https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock][uBlock Origin]] and [[https://www.eff.org/privacybadger][Privacy Badger]] also on your mobile Firefox browser. There are people who say that those plugins do provide a better level of privacy than Focus offers. I'll surely give it a try.
