The Men Who Invent Fictional Languages

Show Sidebar

I just finished listening to a podcast episode by Omega Tau which is called "276 – Linguistics, Conlangers and Game Of Thrones’ Dothraki". David J. Peterson gets interviewed. He invents artificial languages for fun and profit. It was his work that brought the Dothraki language and the Valyrian language to life for the TV show Game of Thrones.

Besides the references to the TV show, this episode is very interesting and I've learned many things. Most of them are things I never was aware of they exist in context of written and spoken languages.

As for so many episodes by Omega Tau: my recommendation!
