So if you plan to watch this movie, stop reading now and return, when you've already watched it. Otherwise, I'll completely ruin the movie experience for you. ----- The plot does not make any sense to me at all. Besides the usual [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temporal_paradox][issues with time-traveling]], I do have many questions related to this movie. For the sake of simplicity, I refer to the main characters with "she", "it", and "he". If you watched the movie, you'll get the idea. If you did not watch the movie yet, you are not supposed to read this line at all. :-) If there are that strict rules for time-travelers to keep the interaction with other people of that era at an absolute minimum, then being a chatty bar-keeper for two weeks is not a good idea. The whole impregnate thing is most likely not impossible for any time-traveling construct. Plain wrong on so many levels. To me, the whole plot action supports only the story of her, it, and him - nothing more. When did all the other "good things" to "save thousands of people" happen? Was it beside the scenes we see in the movie? Was it before? Was it after "his" retirement in Chicago where the time-machine did not deactivate properly? Who were the other ten time agents? What were they doing? No contact between "him" and the others? Why? One of the main themes of the movie was the question whether or not "it" would kill the person, who was responsible for "its" pain. In more than one scene, "it" as well as "he" was confronted with the one who was responsible. As a direct consequence, "it" should have shot itself. Next, "he" should have killed himself while "preparing" "her" in different stages of the plot. At least "he" should have killed himself after destroying the time-machine after killing the bomber. I do like movies that make me think. I like it as long as it is not completely senseless because the director made fun of people trying to grip the plot which is [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mulholland_Drive_%28film%29][specifically designed in a way so that you can't find any particular sense at all]]. However, Predestination does provide a decent plot which is - to my interpretation - more than incomplete and which contains clear logical contradictions. To me, thinking about the plot was solving an equation where every variable can be canceled and the result it a false statement. Not very satisfying.
